Yin Yoga is Loving Kindness, compassion and acceptance. Bringing attention and breath to any aspect of ourselves, emotional, energetic, or physical, will create space for change. Yin is a slow-paced yoga practice in which floor-based postures are held for several minutes. Within these long holds there is an encouragement of softness and an emphasis on relaxing muscular tissue. Appropriate stresses to the fascia tissue have an energizing effect on the energy meridians traversing the body. You will feel things let go, relax, become easier, not because you demanded it but simply because you allowed it. By nourishing a yin attitude of compassionate acceptance, we allow the wisdom of our bodies to be heard. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality and a sense of harmony and peace.
Experience a beautiful sequence with inspirational live music, heart-felt stories, poetry and silence. We end off with meditation, or Yoga Nidra. Slow down and shift your perspective. Cleanse and rejuvenate your body and release emotions that no longer serve you. Come as you are, all levels welcome.
