What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the lesser known sister science of Yoga and means ‘Science of Life’. It provides a framework for building an understanding of your own body
and mind “type” or “dosha” which in turn forms the basis for food,
lifestyle and Yoga practice approaches that are best suited to you
throughout all the changing seasons of life.
Ayurveda is Yoga “off the mat” and the practical applications of living with awareness in your day to day life.
According to Ayurveda, the Autumn winds share the qualities of Vata dosha, which is cold, dry, rough, cool, inconsistent and subtle. And because like attracts like, these Autumn issues of the body and mind including digestive troubles and mental worry can increase.
Autumn balance is all about staying warm and grounded, centred and steadied in peace.
Would you like to feel clear and balanced, all while enjoying the gifts of the Autumn season ?
Ayurveda and Yoga offer practical wisdom that we all can incorporate into our lives with simplicity.
During our time together, Amber will share a therapeutically focused Vata
reducing flow and Yin Yoga sequence that pays particular attention to
soothing both the physical and mental afflictions of the season.
This workshop will provide a harmonious exchange between both the theoretical and practical applications of Ayurvedic ritual and gentle therapeutic Yoga practice.
